UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security
Text of landmark resolution passed by the Security Council in October 2000 that addresses the impact of war on women and contributions of women to conflict resolution and sustainable peace, and that promotes women’s voices in formal peace negotiations and implementation of peace agreements.

Annahda Women’s Association
An association of Muslim and Christian women devoted to empowering Arab women and caring for mentally ill, mentally disabled, and speech and hearing impaired children. Asala: Palestinian Businesswomen’s Association
A microfinance institution devoted to economic empowerment of Palestinian women in the West Bank and Gaza. It provides loans for establishing or expanding women’s businesses.
Association of Rape Crisis Centers
An association coordinating rape crisis centers across Israel and providing crisis-oriented assistance to victims of sexual assault and the people close to them. Services include a 24-hour national hotline, support during medical and legal procedures, prevention outreach, and professional treatment and therapy.
Association of Women’s Committees for Social Work
A grassroots organization working for the political, economic and social empowerment of Palestinian women, the Association coordinates 400 branches in the West Bank and Gaza. Center for Hagar and Sarah

Commission for Future Generations in the Knesset
An inter-parliamentary body providing oversight to the Knesset on the impact of legislation on future generations. The Commission informs Knesset members of future harmful effects of bills and suggests and supports legislation with positive future consequences. Nira Lamay is a Deputy Commissioner.
Cordoba School in Hebron
A grade school in Hebron isolated from the Palestinian community after the 1997 Hebron Accords divided the city, leaving the school in a zone administered by Israelis. The school draws international peacekeeping observers from the Temporary International Presence in the City of Hebron and the Ecumenical Accompaniment Program concerned for the school children. Creativity For Peace
A nonprofit organization working to nurture Israeli and Palestinian girls as the next generation of leaders. Creativity For Peace organizes summer camps, workshops, and gatherings, and sponsors a leadership program on the values of dialogue and peace building. Domari Society of Gypsies in Jerusalem
An organization working to preserve the Domari cultural heritage and empower the gypsy community in Israel and Palestine. El HaLev—Israel Women’s Martial Arts Federation
An organization and center that teaches martial arts and self-defense to women in Israel from all cultural, political, religious, and social backgrounds. Heinrich Böll Foundation

Hope Flowers School

Interfaith Encounter Association
An interfaith organization promoting peace in the Middle East through interfaith dialogue and cross-cultural study. They sponsor events across Israel to encourage dialogue and networking between Jews, Christians, Muslims, and Druze, using religion as a platform for understanding and building strength.
International Committee of the Red Cross
An international relief organization working for humanitarian law and protection of civilians in regions of conflict. The Committee deploys monitors in the Palestinian Territories, visits detainees held by Israel and by Palestinian authorities, provides medical supplies to hospitals, and supports Palestinian families suffering from trauma.
International Women’s Commission for a Just and Sustainable Israeli-Palestinian Peace
A coalition of Palestinian, Israeli, and international women established to promote United Nations Resolution 1325, which urges inclusion of women at all decision-making levels as the means to achieve peace. IWC lobbies for women’s participation in peace negotiations, raises awareness in civil society, and advocates for women’s voices with policymakers and intergovernmental organizations.
Isha L’Isha (Women to Women)
Israel’s oldest feminist organization, established in 1983, to promote women’s rights and support women’s needs. Isha L’Isha is headquartered in Haifa but works across Israel for women’s health, protection against violence, the elderly, lesbian empowerment, and peaceful coexistence between Jewish and Arab women. They founded the Hotline for Battered Women, the Kayan Arab Feminist Center, and the Women’s Economic Empowerment Association.
Israel Women’s Network
A nonprofit organization that promotes gender rights in Israel regardless of a woman’s political affiliation, religious outlook, and ethnic background. IWN works for women who were refused divorces, victims of sexual trafficking, women suffering workplace discrimination, and women’s access to civil courts.
Jerusalem Center for Women
An organization of Palestinian women activists working for the advancement of human rights, women’s rights, and a just resolution of the Israel-Palestine conflict. The Center is based is in East Jerusalem and is the Palestinian half of the coalition organization, The Jerusalem Link

A nonprofit organization providing educational, legal, and advocacy services for the civil rights of Israeli Evangelical believers, Messianic Jews, and families of mixed (Jewish-Christian) marriages.
JUST VISION
A nonprofit organization informing local and global audiences about under-documented Palestinian and Israeli joint civilian efforts for nonviolent resolution of the conflict. Mandela Institute for Human Rights

Mosaica Center for Inter-Religious Cooperation

NAAMAT
Israel’s largest women’s organization, established in 1921 to improve the quality of life of women, children, and families. NAAMAT fosters religious pluralism for both Jewish and Arab Israeli women, supports women’s rights in the workplace, provides facilitation for single parents and recent immigrants, and campaigns against domestic violence. Rachel Aspir is Chair of the Jerusalem branch.
Negev Institute for Strategies of Peace and Development
A nonprofit organization building peace through civil society development. The Institute works on a local and international level, providing leadership training, community development, and consulting services through a number of key programs. Vivian Silver is Executive Director.
Ogarit Cultural Center for Publishing and Translation
A nonprofit organization based in Ramallah that publishes, copyrights, and sells the works of Palestinian women writers. Partners for Peace
A nonprofit organization informing the American public about peace and justice initiatives of Israelis and Palestinians.
