Ruth: Friday

Patricia set off early for the Peace X Peace weekend retreat. Louise, Nira and I packed our packs and had a leisurely breakfast, talking about everything and nothing . Somehow breakfast wasn’t the same without Reem and her ½ gallon of milk ! The household this week has been represented by 3 Anglo Saxons representing the U.S, England and Canada, and 2 Middle Easterners, representing Israel and Palestine. We are all best friends now, needlesss to say and are getting ready to say our goodbyes

Nira will be taking this blog over next week. She is beautiful, intelligent , newly wed, a lawyer working as a legal advisor to the Knesset and thinking about a career in politics. Yes, we say ! Go for it !

Louise and I (can you believe it !) are going to rush into Georgetown one last time to go back and get that fabulous vintage dress Louise didn’t buy yesterday (I haven’t told you anything about Louise, our book designer who is always upbeat and has a great sense of style); and to try and find a gift for Patricia. How can we thank you Patricia for all you have done ? This week at your unbelievable home has been so much fun. I felt like a teenager again having an extended pajama party ! Don’t ever forget how much you have done already for the women in the book, and for all of us who have been a part of it.
